Many expats take jobs in the Middle East each year. Many of these Expats are willing to take the risk to make a higher dollar amount than they can make in there home country. When taking a job in any country you need to make sure you know what kind of environment you will be working and living in. Make sure you know the dangers associated with working in that part of the world. You need to remember to do your homework on any country you plan to work in as well as on any company you plan to work for. You will find a list of places in the Middle East to the right. You can navigate what country you want to look for Middle East Jobs in.
When you start out researching a new location it can be helpful to start on the U.S. department of state website. On their website you can find Travel Warnings and Travel Alerts for countries around the world. If you decide that you are willing to work in a risky area of the world you want to make sure that you get paid what you are worth. You can do this by scanning the internet for articles on jobs in that country or just applying for multiple jobs and finding out what kind of offers you receive. Companies in these areas love to say they are looking for people who are not all about the money but in all honesty they are not going to get anyone if they don’t pay well. You need to have an answer prepared though if they ask why you are applying for a job in these locations. You might want to answer that question by telling them that you are very interested in the position or see potential of career growth within their company. Do not however let them get you for less then you are worth.
