For the Expat Italy can be a little price compared to other places around the world so when you get offered a job make sure you look for things like company housing, companies vehicle, or some kind of cost of living allowance. On the UBS report Milan and Rome are in the top 25 most expensive cities regarding housing. Making sure your salary will cover your daily expenses and still allow you to pay existing bills is very important. You will no doubt want to make sure you are able to build up some kind of savings while working overseas so ensure you will have enough left over to start or continue a good savings plan.
Housing Costs
A furnished four room apartment in Milan will run you between $4,960 and $2,680 while in Rome you will pay between $4,710 and $1,740. A three room unfurnished apartment in Milan will cost between $2,220 and $1,500 and in Rome a price of $2,880 on the high end is a bit pricier than in Milan but on the low end Rome comes in a lot cheaper at $1,180. The further you get away from the city the cheaper the housing gets.

Qatar is a country in the Middle East a lot of Expats decide to work in because it is safer than many other Middle Eastern countries like Iraq and Afghanistan and it is a little more liberal in some areas than places like Kuwait or Saudi Arabia. Being safer and a little more liberal jobs in Qatar pay a little less than most countries in that part of the world but the pay is significantly higher than places like Europe, U.S. and the UK for the same type of work. Doha, a city in Qatar, is on the UBS prices and earnings report for 2009 comparing it to seventy two other cities around the world.
Food Prices The cost of food based on a Western European diet is about middle of the road when rated against the other seventy two cities on the report. It comes out just slightly more costly than Sydney Australia.
Housing Costs When it comes to getting an apartment Doha has a high price tag on there housing. A furnished four room apartment runs between $5,580 and $4,210 where a unfurnished three room apartment runs between $2,560 and $1990. Getting a little smaller apartment can save some money and an expat will probably end up paying about $1,650 for a nice apartment that is either one or two bedrooms unfurnished.

Best Place All Around To Visit In The Philippines
Cebu is located in the Philippines south of Manila and is starting to become a more popular destination for business and tourism each year. Cebu Island is laid back and has a night life comparable to Manila at over half the price. The cost of hotels and resorts in Cebu City are a little cheaper than Manila but the huge savings comes from the lower cost of living. Whether you are going clubbing, taking a tour, or just going out for a nice dinner you will spend about half as much as you would in Manila.
Taxi Service
Another great thing about Cebu is the taxi service. As a tourist chances are that you do not know your way around and need to take some form of public transportation. A taxi in Manila will not turn the meter on for you and will over charge you by 600% if you are a tourist. In Cebu they always turn on the meter and most of the time they do it before you even ask them to.
Friendly Locals
A place is only as good as its local population. Between Expats and the local Filipinos Cebu has a very friendly atmosphere for the tourist and business traveler. When you are walking down the street you are not surrounded by street merchants trying to sell you something every time you turn around although it does happen in some areas. You get to actually relax and enjoy your time there without having to say the words “no thanks” or “no” a thousand times a day.

When you look through job postings on various websites you you may have opened a few job descriptions that say a security clearance is required. If this is you I am sure at one point you have wondered how much more you could make if you had a DOD security clearance. How much more you can make with a clearance depends many things. How much demand is already out there for people with your skill set is one impotent factor. Another factor is how you would use the fact you have a security clearance to find work. Just like any other job your experience level in the area you are looking for a job in will have a lot to do with how much more you can make. What level of security clearance you have will also determine how much more you could make than someone without a security clearance.
How much demand there is for someone with your skills is a big part of how much you can make with a security clearance. If you can make big bucks without a security clearance because the demand is high for people with your skill set you can bet that companies who have positions to fill will pay a bit more for someone like you. If a company is looking for someone to fill a slot that requires a security clearance but there are a lot of people out there with that skill set that already has a DOD security clearance the company will not have to pay that person much more than the non-clearance job does.

Many people who would have never considered working overseas a year or two ago are starting to take a chance on the many opportunities out there around the world. With the unemployment rate in the U.S. closing in on double digits people are taking jobs where ever they can find them even if it means taking a job in another country. Many of those who make up this new wave of expats have no overseas experience and do not know many of the questions they need to ask of a potential employer. Picking a location to work in can be tricky and with no overseas experience these new expats may not know what kind of information they need to find out about a country before they decide to work there. By knowing what to expect from your new location can go a long way to making your overseas experience a good experience.
Picking a location comes down to what you are looking for. You need to make a list of things you are looking for from your overseas experience. For each item you place on your list mark how a country rates from a scale from one to ten. After you have all the items you want to rate a country by place them in order from the most important thing to the least important thing. This will let you see how well each country rates and you can decide what countries have what you are looking for. Some of the things you will want to place on your list is
